I run longer and feel better when I run outside. Especially when I take the 5 minutes to drive to the river, or to the canal, and run on the paths there.
But I don't gauge how far I go. You get a feeling of when enough is enough, and you can expect to feel the same one day from the next. It's nice to know, but...meh...as long as I feel good after I've ran I have accomplished my goal.
