I think a 12v 30a battery should be sufficient. Right now, my total cost is around 200. Ive seen some of the kits up in the 700's.
You could do a setup like that, but what kind of activation are you going to have...a throttle switch? At least use the jetting from one of the 2 stroke kits, so you know it's properly sized.
