I dunno...I feel like it accelerates much much faster than when I just floor it and dont do anything. Becuase when im just flooring it, it feels sluggish and its not accelerating fast enough but whenever i let off the gas and floor it, it kinda kicks in and starts accelerating.. I dunno this might be something stupid, because an automatic is an automatic and it wont ever be fast but im just wondering if anyone else does this or why this feels like its going faster?
Racing on an automatic tranny is the fastest way to give you an excuse to swap your engine and tranny... cause it'll break. Trust me on that one, I know. It's known that Honda auto-trannies are the worst, and racing on them really accelerates that process of wear. But other than that, I think I know what you're talking about. The car downshifts 1-2 gears when you floor it, I would think, theoretically when you let off, it'll bump up to the next gear, so you are going up gears. But my advice is, STOP beating the crap out of your auto-tranny, unless you really want to spend $ to fix it or swap it.
