Heres an idea.....takes 2 people.

Since you have spark at the dist, pull your plugs put them back into the wires, touch to metal, and try starting. you'll see them spark if all is well. if not, work down the line. buy plugs first b/c they are cheap, then spend 40 or so on some wires (or use the oprotunity to buy some better ones)
