Default Integra Problem

Hello All,

My 86 Integra 1.4, 3 door will crank but won't start.

I am pullling out my hair on this problem.

The last time it started I drove it for about 100 feet it stopped running. I tryed to start again but it only sputtered and wanted to start but just won't catch. I let rest for a few hours but when I went to start it, the engine would crank normnally but won't even try to start.

FYI, The distributor is only 3 months old and new wires, the timing belt 5 months old, check out ok.

This is want I have tryed so far. I going by my Hayes manual since I have misplaced my original Acura Technical manual(does any one know where I might find one?)

I pulled one spark plug(it was wet with fuel) with wire connected tested - no spark.

I checked the coil and the ohm's checked out OK! I checked the for spark out of coil wire from distributor cap and there is spark.

I hear that the radio condenser if faulty can prevent start, has any hear of this? I going to see what a new would cost.

Any ideas would be appreciated, since I would have to tow it a 50 miles to nearest import mechanic.

Molly
