Heya,

I agree with everything you said, but I guess I was under the (incorrect) impression that getting 250 N/A CRANK hp (requirement stated by the original poster) would not require that "huge" of a build-up (having to bore the block for example) using a B18C5 as your starting point.

Is it common for gsr owners to replace the B18C head with a port and polish B16A head? Again, let me know if I should take this to the engine forum, but incublinkus seems to know his sh!t down cold

I saw a video of Tony the Tiger's all-motor gsr doing some runs; incredible is all I can say

Well, honestly I can't see 250 HP N/A out of anything less then a build up like this. Bolt on parts hardly ever yield large horsepower gains. You want N/A power...you need higher displacement. bored and resleeved block. and the B18 build would be more reliable then CRVtec

Yeah you can slap a B16 head on a B18 block. no point in a type-r head because your going to have to get the combustion chambers machined to match the bore of your pistons, then get repolished/ported whatever. Plus you'll probably want to mess with the valvetrain.

honestly the only thing worthwhile from a type-r in this case is the tranny. But you could always just mod a GSR tranny as well...
