I just bought a performance resistor that hooks into the ait sensor plug and it is supposed give me at least an 18hp gain but i'm not sure if i have it hooked up right. the original ait plug has three prongs on it.... one with a yellow wire, one with a red wire, and one with a yellow wire.... right now i have the performance resistor hooked to yellow and red. Is this right or wrong? I have noticed increased power as well as higher idle..... but my check engine light is on. The guy i bought it from said it may take 2 weeks for the check engine light to go off..... is he right?
