You don't really need a VAFC unless you're making major mods to your car, like turbo, camshafts etc. the only reason you would need to adjust the Vtec engagement would be if you got bigger cams and needed to change the point where the car stops making power with the regular lobes....But they do look really cool

you can actually make more power on a stock H22 with just a VAFC just by retuning the fuel maps. Also, you can change the tq/hp curves to a more desirable "flatter" curve with the VAFC.
I/H/E/P/VAFC should make around 180-190 whp depending on which parts.
