Tranny fun. I was driving on the interstate going to tallahassee, tranny starts flipping out on me around gainesville (horrible town). At first the tachometer was goin crazy, then it kept switchin between gears, and finally when i got off the interstate it started makin this loud groaning noise when i was at a complete stop at a red light. Something was rubbing or grinding, and it was loud. I stopped the car, towed it back with my dad's F-150, and dropped it at a tranny shop.

They said 1600 to rebuild. Simple as that. Car's only worth 2k at most (body damage) so I promptly said, "the hell with that." I got the keys, and i drove it back, however i got none of the problems i was having before.

I'm thinking fluid/ filter change, sometimes that clears up funny problems.

Ideas? Questions? Advice?
