I dunno about that one......a lot of people I know who regularly race tend to fuse their clutches to their flywheel.......this is probably due to using a lightened flywheel so there is less rotational mass. Automatics are heavier that is true......not sure about breaking more though......they might suck more power but they also transer the power a lot better.
