I'll tell you a little story about my friend.

He had a 3.85 gpa from UC Berkeley. Scored above average in the MCAT but he only applied at the top 6 med schools. He got interviews at all 6 but he didn't get into med school. He had over 1000hrs of volunteer hours at the Oakland Childrens hospital.

If really want go to med school, then you will find a way into med school. My friend who should have gotten into at least 1 didn't go to med school. He didn't really want to go.
