thanks for all your help. the new h/u is in and working well, now just need to get new speakers. had to take the whole dash apart to figure it out but the screws can be reached if you know where to look. luckily for us, as i wired it incorrectly. lol. really need to find myself a manual.

any suggestions on speakers for the doors? to go with pioneer h/u.
