No. I'd return the whole shebang, get your money back and buy quality soap and wash mitts. By the sound of things, perhaps a clay bar/detailer spray set as well.

If hard water deposits are a problem where you are, then I'd take care of that with an inline water softener for the whole house. And the residue left on your paint by hard water will damage the finish over time.
i already have gold class soap and a jug of other soap. i dont need a mitt, i already have 3 sponges with 1 that is a bit coarser. all im looking for is #16 wax that is in liquid form and not paste. oh and i do have a claybar set, EO wax as you dry, rubbing compound, cleaner wax and i already have used the mr.clean on two cars. plus it was only 19 dollars, id say it was much quicker than suual.
