The type R is faster than any of the prelude VTECs. Main reason is because it has about the same power (depending of the H22's year of production) and weighs more than 300 pounds less. This is because, not only is the ITRs engine well tuned from the factory but it is also stripped for weight (Stripped down GS-R) for performance. No Sunroof or even sound deadening materials.
