it's mostly the security of having the wheel lock, but some of it is also 99% of the time I don't park on a hill, but if I had to park on a really steep hill I have seen the affects of the wheel working it's way to a more stright orientation, and even in gear with the e-brake on I have seen cars start to roll down the hill, or roll back into the car behind them.
but what I am going to do is get another ignition and key, and put that in the stock location, and relocate mine to the dash, as to the one in the stock location I will be putting a small cover connected to the key that can be kept unlocked, but if I need to turn that little cover to lock the wheel. It will be hardly identafiable, and thats the main issue. I snap off hub kit is on the list as well......thanks guys
