Also, I had a friend buy an ebay chip for his vette, he bought it because when I bought my vette it had a chip in it, (has to be like me) and I took mine out and he took his out, side by side no difference what so ever! I payed 245.00 to buy the chip and 25.00 to have it installed befor I got the car.
Another thing..... I have a cold air intake I made myself, same as the one in the store for 250$. I spent 25. I was looking around and seen that somone spent under 100$ for a chip that they said improved there performance and they liked the fact that they could turn it on or off, good gas mileage to work and back and on the weekend, a fun car to drive around the track. I am looking for a upgrade for under 100$. I also want to know more about airflow sensors? Mine is stock and I know there is more cool air flowing to my engine, so i wanted to know if I should upgrade the sensor? As for a cam I plan on geting one, but not untill I come across an extra 200$. My corvette uses up most of my money, but she is almost finished, a new optima battery and im done. then I can spend my extras on my civic.

Did he have concrete, verifiable number stating that he increased performance? Did he dyno the car with the chip on and with the chip off? What kind of increases did he see? or is he going off his buttdyno? Until I see proof that these chips give gains, I'll discredit them. You speak as though you know about how to get gains out of car yet you ask about air flow sensors. Funny, you should know that the civic doesn't have air flow sensor, they have a manifold absolute pressure sensor, not a mass air flow sensor, and unless you have some sort of forced induction and are running more than ~11 psi, then you don't need to upgrade the sensor. Sure you could get a 3 BAR MAP, but you'll be just wasting your money until you go FI.
