The fact is, Dubs, that Bush should be held directly responsible for some of the problems facing us today. It is no secret that the President does not run the country alone, but the Administration does have a duty to lead the country in a way that no other government office does. In a very real way, the executive branch executes policy which is decided by the President, and each and every one of the policies does come from the Oval Office.
You seem to be kind of irritated that blackmagik and nightshade are going punch for punch about this stuff. You shouldn't be. Debate is the essence of democracy. It is through debate that we learn new ideas and learn about each other. Two of the three branches of government are built around the idea that a group of people talking about an issue will result in better thinking and better decisions.
You're absolutely right. I wasn't in anyway saying that anyone was wrong, thus I was saying that Bush might be responsible (I don't know). I know that debate is good, and is a part of our democratic system. But when someone continuously bashes the US (i.e. Nightshade) I get irritated because I was under the impression that life in our contry was a lot better than most others. But I could be wrong. :dunno:
BTW, I'm only 17 (as indicated) so give me a little break...
