one persons experience doesn't mean shit. i promise you can find alot more results that are complete opposite. there is no way a stock airbox out flows a k&n filter. hell, even switching from an autozone filter, to a k&n i noticed a tiny difference. it even gave my exhaust a slightly different tone. and i have way better throttle response on both my cars than i did with my stock enclosed crap.
your butt dyno must have a very tight tolerance and is very tightly tuned to notice such a difference. Because I couldn't feel the 2hp loss in my car which dynoed at 223hp (225hp with stock filter).
BTW we are talking about the drop in filter for the stock airbox not the cone filter.
