the h22a is definitely one of the top 4 cylinder NA motors in existence.
dont forget that it was introduced in 1992 with the JDM 4th gen lude, 1993 for the US. So it had a sucessful production run from 93-01 in the USDM market. there are differences between the 4th and 5th gen h22aX but that is beside the point, mostly OBD and sensors.

it makes about 200HP outta a 2.2 liter, not bad at all for a 2.2 liter NA
typeS is making 220 outta a 2.2 Liter on 11-1 CR.
