I've gone thru all the searches and Found very little info because of you guys just trying to blow the guy that's asking the question..so as a result, I found one link that has the Do-It-Your-Self page...
And the rest of the info i found was
1. It will burn out faster if you it more (duh?) b/c it's higher voltage
2. It's simple! just search for it!
3. something rubber gasket...
4. GET SILVERSTAR!...piaa is just way too expencive..

responses:
1. 9005 uses the same voltage. the power consumption is 10W higher, so that means a little more current is needed. your stock wiring harness will be able to handle this.
2. i can't believe that it was difficult to find info on this. i just searched this forum for 9005 in the thread title and came up with 42 results. it took less time than posting a new thread.
3. rubber gaskets aren't related to this.
4. silverstar is fine if you don't mind that one of them will look like this after less than a year of use:
