And yes I have seen tons of heater valves out of adjustment on Honda's that would not cold for anything. Fixing this fixed alot of a/c warm problems. Also on almost all accords between 90-96? the hot/cold knob on the dash always breaks internally and why you may turn the knob and it feels fine, it may not be turning the heater valve at all. I seen this every summer for the last 8 years and about 50% on accords with an A/c problem needed a new knob.
Thanks for the advice, my knob is actually fine, caz when I ripped out my entire front panel a week ago, I adjusted the air/mix cable off the back of the knob, and it works just fine as I saw the teeth and gear move accordingly. Problem is that lousy heater valve is the culprit and I can't get to completely shut all the way (it's just unfortunately the design of the valve as it appears). So for the time being, I'll just make sure not to turn that knob anywhere from it's current position, caz once i go turn midway and then back to cold, it won't completely shut the water heater valve off.
