For the axle nut just have some one step on the brakes and use a breaker bar. I had to use a pipe that was about 6 ft. long to get mine off when I first got my hatch cause my impact gun wouldn't even take it off. As for the pin in the shift linkage just use a center punch that is the same diameter as the pin, a hammer and some patience.
