To save a little bit of money do all the mods at once, so you don't have to go back again and again to the shop to get it done. Its also good to do it at once, so the block doesn't need to be opened again and again with the potential of damaging something in there. But to answer your question, you can do it a little at a time, but it is better to do it all at once.
