I'm wondering whether the accident may be the cause, but it drive fine and looks fine.

this info changes several things.. you'll need to check if the frame is straight, your rear thrust angle is straight, caster being correct specs... then you can do your front alignment.. your front alignment should be done after the rear is set for that reason..

once your car is in an accident, especially 11k worth of damage, it's quite possible that your suspension geometry has changed causing the abnormal wear..
