I used to run a detailing business. I know first-hand that most detailers use silicone-containing polymer conditioners because

A- It's much cheaper
B- It's much glossier and more pronounced for the first couple of days which is what really matters when you run a detailing business and are first handing the keys over to a customer.

Do some research around the web on 303 Aerospace Protectant and you can find out more. There are a couple of other similar products I know of that contain no silicone disolates: Zaino Z9 and Meguires Endurance (ONLY the non-high gloss endurance... the high gloss type which is much more common and is purple rather than white, contains a ton of silicone)
