Actually, several people that have posted here regularly in the past have sent oil samples in to independent labs for contaminant testing.

Looking purely at the color of the oil doesn't tell you anything about the oil's properties other than it's color. It's been tested, it's been proven. You and your buddies can agree on whatever you want without the proper facts to back up your assumptions, but it doesn't make them true.
