thats true, I didn't get the absolute best base setup available, something that i could turn up when i wanted to, and didn't drain my bank account, and one for my every day drivin (2 alpine type R 12's in a sealed box powered by rockford 851s) and that cost me over 1000 after it was said and done and i got some good deals too, for a good setup expect to spend in the neighborhood of 1500-2000...don't get subs if you plan on stickin to 850, you'll only be dissapointed.
