the CEL is NOT programmed to come on after a certain amount of miles. It's only purpose is to come on if there is a malfunction in the vehicles emission control system. It's OBDII, not an odometer. Otherwise ALL makes of cars would be doing the same.
just goin by what i have experienced. when mine came on i reset it over and over and it would come on everytime after 30 miles. my have just been a freak thing. and as far as the 60K and it comin on ... it the maintanance required light. and i could be wrong about that...but thats what i was told
