If we need to cheap out on something, it's gasoline. Car pool, use buses, or just clean your car interior instead of driving around the hoods looking for trouble. I don't use my car for anything beside work during the week day. Weekend comes and I may take her out for a spend. I usually like to take her out on Interstate once in awhile and do 80s instead of driving around the blocks doing 20s wasting gas.
