BMW use Mobil 1 5W30 and change it every 15000 miles as part of their 2 years free maintenance. Oil change is still the cheapest thing out there. 20 dollars can get your 5 quarts, that's more than most Honda cars need. The same 20 dollars can't even fill your gas tank nowaday.

I still don't see why people cheap out on oil. If you eat out 2 times less, you can get Mobil 1. If you skip that vending maching 4 times, you can get a bottle of Black Magic to clean your car interior for 6 years. Cars are the cheapest maintenance things out there. Car tires last a pretty long time and they're only 300 dollars for a excellent set of Michellins 17 inches.
