JL is a great brand, I don't think he was trying to say they were bad by any means, its just there are many good brands out there other than JL. Recommendations? Image Dynamics, Elemental Designs, Adire, Tru, Arc Audio, Vifa, Morel, Focal, Dynaudio, Scan Speak, Pheonix Gold, etc etc etc.
