My favorite local shop had a customer pawn it on them. They didn't know what it was, it had a tacky aftermarket stock and a dinky five round mag, they where selling it for $185. I bought it along with two Kalashnikov '30 rounders, and snapped one of the thirtys in the -M. They where amazed, they didn't realize the -M took standard AK detachables.
Since then, I've fitted a Chinese red fibreglass "jungle" buttstock on it, left the Ramline handgaurd that came with it on, and swapped in an Albanian hook style bolt carrier. I like. I've even had a guy offer me an M1 carbine for it.
