If you are speaking about for track use (providing whomever you are racing with allows the removal of it in the rules) take it out- no ps is great on track- less weight, more hp, and the most important part the better feel/response.
I haven't actually driven without it on my R (as I don't race it yet) but I know Franza (ECHC) doesn't use it in his for same reason, and my track/racecar is a Civic, and we removed the ps. I love it with no ps!!
I wouldn't go without it though (me personally) for daily driving nor auto-X at low speeds its a pain in the bootie! I've actually sprained my wrist driving the Civic with no ps on race tires at a auto-X, and that lesson is what stopped me from removing it from my R until its 100% track car.
