AJ, while I agree with you that Autometer is not the only good manufacturer of gauges, VDO being another top notch supplier, it's hard to argue that all NASCAR, Trans-Am, SVWC and sportprototypes etc almost use these gauges exclusively.
Their history is built on accurate and reliable sending units.....as for the A/F meters, again I'll agree with you, but remember that guage is also only street used and is approx at best. You know that a properly tuned race car is tuned on the dyno...the A/F meter is just a heads up.

Last comment.....on my GT-3 CRX race car, which runs on spherical bearings ( no rubber bushings), the only gauges that withstand the vibrations for more than 1 season are Autometer. BTW, this car has been in service since 1986.
