Actually the autometer air/fuel ratio gauges with all the flashing lights is so inaccurate it's sick. It's got to be one of the most worthless gauges you can get, other than looking pretty kool. Also, Autometer isn't the only good gauge company.

Look into EDO, which has been making Ferrari, Lambo, Benz and Beemer gauges for like the past 50-60 years, not to mention are ussualy on the up and up on technology. Also look into Defi, they make really sweet gauges, just a little on the pricey side. Those are really the only two gauges I would recomend other than autometer.

Though I deifinitely agree, oil pressure is crutial, oil temp, water temp, and you may even want to do fuel pressure if you plan to spray. If you're looking to play with the fuel a little, an EGT is a must or a wide band if you have deep pockets, FJO and Motech both make really nice ones.
