The problem we have here is tuning for any appilcation can't be done with fuel pressure. Different rpms require different amounts of fuel, some more, some less. Fuel tuning with any sort of regulator is ineffective and a band aid as 1stGen already said.
Ford, No one is telling you to break the bank just to tune it right and that means not using things that will get you by. You said you want it to be reliable but the way you are approaching it, hardly seems the reliable way.
