Well, the P28 lacks knock board circuitry, so that is right out of the equation. The stock KS is not like the KS on a DSM or suby, it's really just a safeguard against shitty US gas.
I also would not reccomend tuning on the fly with the AFC, the AFC in general operation advances timing. Remember it is an Air Flow Controller, not an Air/Fuel Controller
