he never got it checked out really. It wasnt run hot for very long. He could start it the next day but it sounded horrible(i didnt hear it). But the day after that he couldnt get it started.

I'm assuming maybe the head's gone on it. But i cant be sure.

That aside, there is the problem that originally was the reason it overheated. Maybe the water pump went bad? Radiator problem? Thermostat? Not sure. But just as is, not knowing thats wrong with it is what i'm asking.
