If your router is a D-link, go to their website and get the latest firmware update for it (make sure your downloading the right one for your router). I had a few problems with my D-link router/WAP a while back and I updated it's firmware and the drivers for my laptops wifi card and I haven't had a problem since. It's free so consider trying that first.
