How this applies to Do It Yourself I have no idea, but here's my input. Virtually every gas station seperates available octanes by $0.10 which is then multiplied by, what 12 gallons of gas to fill your tank? $1.20 to not knock. $1.20... That's a lot of money, I can see the cause for concern.

So for the next few days or a week, skip buying two cans of Pepsi/Coke and instead drink from a water fountain. If that's too tough, avoid two vending machine Snickers Bars. It's easier, SAFER, and BETTER FOR YOU to save money on your eating/drinking habits than it is gasoline for your car. You bought a "high" performance four cylinder, and there is a price of admission.
