My father was appointed and placed partially in charge of setting up an entire department and operation in the philipeans. Each of those "new" positions over seas replaced twice that in our country. All of those individuals were let go and most are probably still unemployed because there just aren't any jobs. These are middle class white collar people with a house, a dog, two cars, a wife and kids. Now they're f'd - I wont give away the name of the company buts its one of the largest if not the largest life insurance corp in the US. These large corporations can avoid taxes (thanks to bush) and alow lesser wages (thanks to the ok from bush). They are outsourcing to asia, india, and a few other regions outside the US border.
