Hi guys, just stumbled across this thread. I'm planning a similar project. I already have a 95 B18b in a 90 HF CRX. The engine when installed had just over 10k so I'm not planning to open the engine. LS engines are supposed to do 10 psi with all stock innards.I have done some turbo sizing math and the GT28RS seems a perfect size for "streetable" HP. (less than 300 whp) Another good match seems to be the T3 Super 60. It is a fact that the T3/T4 is the one for high HP. FWIW, the GT28RS comes in either it's original T25 flange or as a T3/T4 "drop in" package. The GT has new technology impeller wheels and ball bearings at about $1200 clams, but list on a T3 Super 60 with ball bearings is $1300 or so! Sure the T3 off the Ford Turbo Coupe is $100 bux at the yard, but if you want to play....... What are you guys doing for fuel management? My calculations suggest that DSM 450cc injectors will max before the turbo. Any info? Zdyne, Hondata, Turboedit, Uberdata???
Thanks, didn't mean to make a big splash with my first post.
