Default Basic maintenance: What should I use?

I'm about to do some basic maintenance (oil, plugs, wires, etc) on a 2000 Honda Civic SE that I recently bought. This brought me to a few questions. Currently the car has around 70k miles on it. I have no clue of the maintenance history. The current oil looks clean (guess I can thank the dealer for one thing).

1) What is the preferred oil for the 1.6L I4 motor? I'm guessing Mobil 1 Synthetic would be a good choice?
2) How about oil filter? I try to stay away from fram and some of the other infamous brands.
3) Spark plugs?
4) Spark plug wires?
5) Front brake pads?
6) Coil? Is it even necessary to replace this? If I need to replace it, is it as simple as popping off the distributor, pulling out the old one and placing in the new one?

TIA.
