Alright let me help out a little maybe. I just finished my 4 years in the Army the worst place I ever went was Korea. Now keep in mind my job was to load 120mm rounds on into the main gun on the tank. I've never been shot at and overall my life was not in danger. I mean it all really depends on what your job is. If you are military intelligence more than likely you are no going to have to be worried about your life being in danger you are nowhere near the front lines so barring an accident you are okay. My wife has been in Iraq for 9 months and I must say it sucks but she signed up and they said she had to go so she's gone. I have had friends die in this stupid war. Basically if you join the military do it for the right reason not because you want college money and you think your life will not be put in jeapordy. Don't join the Reserves and then bitch about being called up to defend your countries interests, and enjoy being places you will never see again most likely as much as possible.
