a block from a running engine is your best bet, not some block some1 wants to sell you.
the h22a and h22a1 are the same block for the most part, both closed deck. the newer OBD2 motors are open deck.
you should buy a motor from an importer and tear it down, then build it to your specs/liking. ive done this several times, and its like second nature from me now, but if you want to be like me, start where i started...with the 1400 page helms manual for a 1994 USDM prelude.
