alright this is more then a problem really. Hahaha, unless oil shooting all over you engine bay is nromal.

needless to say, out driving on sunday morning on the highway, was just cruising along, going like 70-75 in my 98 EX, then suddenly, this slight clicking noise starts. i was like, hmm, what that. get progressively louder and louder as the car roles a few thousand more feet. Temp and Oil pressure gauges are reading normal, no oil pressure warning light, no CEL. Finally i hear a very LOUD...

BOOM!!!

and my car is engulfed in white smoke. I basically smoked out this tractor trailer that was behind me. This cloud was thick, whitish grey, smelled like burning oil, maybe a little like coolant. Engine dies and is making really funny noises, so i pull it out of gear really quick, so it hopefully doesn't get any worse.

Pull over to the side, pop the hood, and oil is covering everything.

the worst part about the whole situation is i had a hot date tonight and now i have no car.
