SO in right clicking over the drive I get a list of potential properties changes.

In this list I have a permissions option to change the drive to Private...so does this mean if I turn C drive private and hidden that the OS will not boot or operate the programs on that drive? and can I set it up password based to individual drives so that when the person logs in it only allows the person to see the C drive with read on;y permission and their personal drive for writig to and storage while retaining my ability to go in and change as needed for maintenence?

I know this sounds stupid and is a lot of questions but I am tired of rebuilding comps right now and am trying to prevent allthis crap from happening again.
