OK have any idea what motherboard your computer has? Normally motherboard only have 2 IDE ports(for 4 drives all together) and one for floppy drives. If you dont have an extra slot, you can always go buy an EIDE PCI card for $20(which will allow you to connect 4 more drives I think)
