J's racing short ram, comptech, mugen, and even the aem v2 seems to have promising numbers being shown, although i've never worked with an AEM v2.
It's no mystery, if you want to be able to squeeze all the power you can out of our little 4 cylinders, you can't go cheap on the boltons, or your gains will not be as sufficient.
Intake design is more than just saying, hey lets make a pipe....... and put a filter on the end! woooooo!
Sure go ahead, go cheap on your parts for say, i/h/c/e, don't get angry when the people who didn't cheap out have something like 20 or 30 more whp, and a better powerband.
I will have to agree, those cheap ass ebay ones for $15 are crap. Come on now, AEM and Injen are CARB legal.
