I've thought about this a lot too. The procharger kit seems to be a pretty sweet supercharger (air-to-air intercooling, thoughtful design, relative light weight), and I wouldn't loose the instant throttle response I need. But thats always been a WAY down the road sorta option. Thats probably the only s/c I'd consider, and its far out of my price range.
